1. Watching the bees buzzing in and out of their nest makes me feel very Winnie the Pooh
2. On our flora and fauna walk we learn about so many different trees. But my favourite is the hornbeam, with its ‘muscly’ bark. This ancient forest is so peaceful, we all feel the sense of calm wash over us. Only the sound of a pheasant breaks the silence. Later I find a pheasant eggshell.
3. As we head back to base camp, three honey buzzards circle and land close by.
